• Our state show is closer than it seems! (July 30, 2020-August 2, 2020) The payout gets better and better with every sponsor we get, it’s never too early to start asking for sponsors.

2019 Awards

I have had a few people ask what we are doing for awards for the 2019 points. Unlike other districts, we do not earn award money from shows, or entries. We only earn money for our district if we organize fundraisers. This year we raised a total of $273.60 for our district. Having that said, I did not have enough funds to give everyone an award. I decided to pay the first place in each division, in each class with a gift certificate to Miller’s Feed and Tack. I could give each person more money if I sent out gift cards, than if I paid to ship an item. “Miller’s” has been a vendor at our state show for many years, and they have also been a sponsor of IN NBHA during that time. They plan to be at our State show again this year, so please stop in and use your gift certificates! (Please note that gift certificates expire one year after the date of issue.)

2020 Agenda

As a new director, I have learned a lot in 2019. I love the sport of barrel racing, and I love the people I get to share that passion with. I would love to hear what you have to say about your district. If you have any ideas for raising money for our district, or have an opinion about it, please send me an email or give me a call. As a district, we may decide to continue to raise money for awards, or we may choose to opt out of awards. Would everyone prefer to get something in the mail, or would you prefer an email list? I would like to take everyone’s opinions into consideration when we make these decisions together. I plan to make a show list like I did last year, with all approved IN NBHA shows on it. If you would like to receive that list, please let me know, and I will either mail you one, or email it to you.
